Jane

Jane found out she was Indigenous in 2009 at a Conference in New Zealand. The Conference was for First People’s with Disabilities, and that was where she was told she was an Australian Aboriginal. When she flew back to Melbourne she looked in the mirror and could finally see her true identity as an Aboriginal woman. Jane is extremely proud of her Indigenous heritage. Her tribe is Yorta Yorta and she loves spending time with them.

Jane adores using art as a way to relate to her heritage and finds it therapeutic as an outlet for some of the things she has experienced along her journey.
